Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 – The Empire is the “Midtown” of Vinhomes’ Ocean City, east of Hanoi across the Red River. The township covers about 457 hectares in Nghia Tru Commune, Hung Yen, and is built around VinWonders Wave Park, an 18-hectare artificial wave lagoon. Most of the land is low-rise housing, but the apartment zones are where many buyers start: towers by Masterise Homes – Masteri Trinity Square, Masteri Grand Coast, Lumiere SpringBay and Lumiere Ocean Crest – and MIK Group’s Imperia Ocean City The Parkland.

Location and connections

The township lies next to the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway (5B) and Ring Road 3.5, about 15 km from central Hanoi via Vinh Tuy Bridge. It sits between Vinhomes Ocean Park in Gia Lam and Vinhomes Ocean Park 3, so residents share a wider network of schools, malls and parks across Ocean City.

Planned river crossings such as the Tran Hung Dao and Me So bridges, together with the planned Metro Line 8, should make the trip into Hanoi shorter over time, but check progress before relying on them.

Apartment zones

  • Masteri Trinity Square – towers along the central Empire Park
  • Masteri Grand Coast, Lumiere SpringBay and Lumiere Ocean Crest – towers around the wave park
  • Imperia Ocean City The Parkland – MIK Group’s cluster between the Cha La and Dao Dua villa zones

Masterise units come with fitted interiors and range from compact studios to duplexes and penthouses. Prices reported for Masterise towers have been around VND 70–80 million per m², but they change with each launch, so ask for the current price list.

Amenities

  • VinWonders Wave Park with artificial beach
  • Empire Park of about 7.5 ha
  • Vinschool and healthcare facilities
  • Shopping streets and commercial centres
  • Pools, gyms and gardens inside apartment zones

Buying at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2

Because different developers handle different zones, sales policies, finishes and handover schedules are not the same everywhere. Compare the specific project rather than the township as a whole, and read the payment schedule carefully – launch offers often include interest support that ends after a set period.

Foreigners can buy in commercial apartment buildings within the usual limits of the 2023 Housing Law: up to 30% of the units in one building and ownership of up to 50 years, renewable once. Check that the foreign quota in the specific tower still has room before you pay a deposit.

Renting at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2

The rental market here is still building up compared with Vinhomes Ocean Park in Gia Lam. Demand comes from families who want space and greenery, staff at nearby industrial areas and people working in east Hanoi. Furnished units in completed zones near the wave park are the easiest to let.

Pros and cons

  • Pros: large-scale amenities, wave park and big green spaces, choice of developers and product types
  • Cons: commute to central Hanoi depends on bridges and traffic, many zones still under construction, rental market still maturing

Who it suits

Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 suits families moving out of central Hanoi for more space, buyers who want resort-style amenities near the city, and long-term investors betting on the growth of the eastern corridor.
