Aranya Hue

Aranya Hue is a social housing project in the An Van Duong new urban area, on Nguyen Lo Trach Street in Hue. Developed by Aranya Vietnam JSC on 9,701 m², it has four 9-floor blocks (CT1 to CT4) arranged in a square, with 512 apartments of 50–65 m². The buildings were completed and came into use in early 2022, and owners hold long-term certificates.

Location in An Van Duong

An Van Duong is Hue’s main new urban area on the south-eastern side of the city, planned as its future administrative and commercial centre. Nguyen Lo Trach Street links the project with Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard, the old city and the road to Thuan An beach.

Units are designed to get natural light and cross-ventilation, which matters in Hue’s hot summers and wet winters.

Who can buy

This is a social housing (nhà ở xã hội) project. Units can only be bought by people who meet the government’s criteria – for example income limits and not already owning a home in the province – and buyers must apply through the developer with paperwork confirmed by the authorities. Foreigners are not eligible. Social housing generally cannot be resold on the open market within five years of full payment, so it is a home to live in rather than an investment.

Buying a resale unit

Owners who have held their unit for long enough under the rules may resell it; the buyer and seller must follow the procedure for social housing, which can include paying land-use fees. Ask the management office and the local Department of Construction about the status of any unit before paying a deposit.

Renting at Aranya Hue

Social housing owners may only rent out their unit under the conditions set by law, so rental supply here is limited. Tenants are mainly local workers and young families.

• Cons: strict eligibility rules, resale restrictions, basic finishes and few amenities

Aranya Hue suits local families on modest incomes who qualify for social housing and want a finished home in a developing part of the city.

Living in Hue

Hue, the former imperial capital, became a centrally governed city in 2025. Life is quieter and cheaper than in Da Nang or Hanoi, with a strong education and healthcare sector, the Perfume River and the Citadel at its heart, and beaches at Thuan An a short drive away.

An Van Duong, where Aranya is located, is planned as the city’s new centre, with administrative offices, schools and shopping gradually moving in. Buying a social housing apartment here puts owners in the part of Hue that is expected to grow the most.
