New City is one of the fastest commutes to District 1 from the east side: the Thu Thiem tunnel takes you to Ton Duc Thang in about 10 minutes. Thao Dien and its international schools are 10 to 15 minutes away, Mai Chi Tho Boulevard links you to Thu Duc and the Long Thanh expressway, and the airport is around 30 to 40 minutes by car.
