Havana Nha Trang is a 41-storey, five-star hotel tower at 38 Tran Phu Street, facing Nha Trang Bay. Opened in the early 2010s and first branded Best Western Premier, it is now run independently as Havana Nha Trang Hotel. With well over 1,000 rooms it is one of the largest hotels in the city, and a private tunnel under Tran Phu Street takes guests straight to the beach.

Prices and buying

There is nothing to buy in this building. Investors who want a unit on Tran Phu usually look at the condotel and apartment towers along the same strip, many of which have a resale market.

Renting and holiday use

Room rates have been advertised from around VND 1.4 million a night. The hotel is popular with tour groups, so book early for Tet, summer and the Russian and Korean holiday peaks.

Pros and cons

  • Pros: right on the beach strip, private beach tunnel, huge choice of rooms, rooftop bar with bay views
  • Cons: very large and busy, can feel like a tour-group hotel, older than the newest towers on Tran Phu, nothing for investors

Who it suits

Holidaymakers who want a central beachfront hotel with lots of facilities, and visitors checking out the Tran Phu strip before buying a condotel nearby.
