Location
Mau Than is one of the main roads through central Can Tho, close to Can Tho University, markets and the Xuan Khanh area. For a social housing project this is an unusually central address; most new affordable housing in the Mekong Delta is being built on the edge of town.

Who can buy
Social housing in Vietnam is reserved for eligible buyers, mainly low- and middle-income workers and civil servants who do not already own a home locally, with income caps and paperwork set by law. Resale is restricted for the first years, and foreign nationals cannot buy.
Timeline
The investment decision was handed over in July 2026, with a groundbreaking planned in the months after. Social housing projects usually open applications only once the foundation is complete and the Department of Construction publishes the sale notice, so watch for that announcement rather than paying any early deposit.
Buying checks
- Wait for the official sale notice and price approval before applying.
- Prepare income and housing-status documents early.
- Ask about parking, as the site is compact.
- Ignore anyone offering paid “guaranteed” slots.
