Location in Vinh Yen

The project sits at a main junction in central Vinh Yen, close to administrative offices, schools and shops. The Khai Quang and Binh Xuyen industrial parks, home to many Japanese and Korean manufacturers, are a short drive away, and the Hanoi – Lao Cai expressway connects the city to Noi Bai airport and Hanoi.

Apartments were designed with Japanese and Korean professionals in mind, and the developer worked with an international leasing adviser to market them to expatriate tenants.

Buying at The City Light

All units are resales today. Prices reported at launch were around VND 0.9–1.2 billion per apartment, which made the project one of the more accessible modern options in the city; today’s resale prices will differ. Check the pink book and the building’s service charge.

Foreigners can buy in commercial apartment buildings within the usual limits of the 2023 Housing Law: up to 30% of the units in one building and ownership of up to 50 years, renewable once. Check that the foreign quota in the specific tower still has room before you pay a deposit.

Renting at The City Light

Demand comes from Japanese and Korean engineers and managers at the industrial parks, as well as local professionals. Furnished 1- and 2-bedroom units close to the industrial zones let most easily.

Pros and cons

  • Pros: completed, central junction location, near industrial parks with expatriate staff
  • Cons: single tower with limited amenities, smaller project, traffic around the junction

Who The City Light Vinh Yen suits

The City Light suits buyers looking for a ready apartment in Vinh Yen, expatriate staff of nearby factories, and small investors targeting the industrial-park rental market.

Living in Vinh Yen

Vinh Yen was the capital of Vinh Phuc until the 2025 merger with Phu Tho. It is about an hour from Hanoi and 30 minutes from Noi Bai airport, at the foot of the Tam Dao mountains. Industrial parks such as Khai Quang and Binh Xuyen host many Japanese and Korean manufacturers.

The city has a relaxed pace, Dam Vac lake for evening walks and the Tam Dao hill station for weekends. Modern apartments are still few, so central buildings with services attract both local families and expatriate staff.
