Hoc Mon sits on National Highway 22 and the Trans-Asia Highway, about 45 to 60 minutes from District 1 by car. Tan Son Nhat airport is roughly 30 to 40 minutes away, and the planned Metro Line 2 extension and Ring Road 3 should make commuting easier over the coming years.
