Amenities
Caravelle Saigon is a five-star hotel at 19–23 Lam Son Square in the heart of the old District 1, facing the Opera House. It opened on Christmas Eve 1959 as Saigon’s tallest and most modern building, was famous as a base for foreign press during the war, and reopened in 1998 with a new 24-storey tower beside the original wing. Today it has about 335 rooms and suites; it is a hotel, not a condo.
