Masteri An Phu is a two-tower apartment development at 179 Xa Lo Ha Noi, built by Masterise Homes and handed over in early 2019. Its two V-shaped towers, named Rio and Sol, rise 42 storeys above a shop-lined podium and together hold roughly 900 apartments.

The address is the selling point. Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien is next door, An Phu station on Metro Line 1 is a few minutes on foot, and the leafy streets of Thao Dien start right behind the building. For many tenants it is the practical middle ground between the busy CBD and the quieter villas of Thao Dien.

Location and getting around

The building fronts three roads: Xa Lo Ha Noi, Vo Truong Toan and Street 9. You can walk to Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien for groceries and cinema, and take the metro from An Phu station to Ben Thanh in about 20 minutes. Driving to District 1 via the Saigon Bridge is usually quick outside rush hour.

Thao Dien Ward is now part of An Khanh Ward. Expect older documents to show “Thao Dien Ward, District 2” or “Thu Duc City”.

Rio vs Sol and choosing a view

The two towers mirror each other. North-west facing units look towards the Saigon River and the city skyline; south-east facing units look over the Rach Chiec bridge area and eastern Thu Duc. Lower floors facing the highway can be noisier, so visit at rush hour if you are sensitive to traffic sound.

Layouts run from one-bedroom units of around 50 m2 to three-bedroom corner homes. Check the exact floor plan for the stack you are viewing, especially kitchen layout and whether the balcony is enclosed.

Renting at Masteri An Phu

Furnished one- and two-bedroom apartments are in steady demand from professionals who commute by metro. Ask whether the rent includes management fees and internet, and how many residents’ cards come with the lease for the pool and gym.

Parking spaces for cars are limited in many central buildings. If you drive, confirm the slot in writing before paying a deposit.

Buying and resale checks

Many units now trade with ownership certificates. Ask for the pink book or, if not yet issued, the sale contract and payment receipts from the developer. Foreign buyers should confirm the remaining foreign ownership quota for the specific tower.

Compare resale prices within the same tower and floor band; river-view high floors carry a clear premium over highway-facing low floors.

Facilities

Residents have an infinity pool, gym, landscaped decks, a children’s play area and shops, cafés and restaurants in the podium. Ask the building management for current access rules and fees.
