Amenities
Oriental Westlake is a small, 15-storey apartment building at 174 Lac Long Quan, a few minutes’ walk from West Lake in Tay Ho. It was invested by a member company of BRG Group, the conglomerate behind several five-star hotels and golf courses in Hanoi, and stands on a compact plot of just under 2,000 m2.
What sets it apart is its approach to risk: the building was completed before units were launched for sale, and owners received their ownership certificates in April 2018. With only seven to nine apartments per floor and three lifts, it feels more like a boutique residence than a mass-market tower.

Location near West Lake
Lac Long Quan runs parallel to the western shore of West Lake, linking Buoi with Nhat Tan and the Ciputra area. Lake walks, cafés and the expatriate restaurants of Tay Ho are close by, while Ba Dinh offices and the embassy district are 10 to 15 minutes by car.
The address is now in Tay Ho Ward following the 2025 reorganisation; older documents list Buoi Ward.

Apartments
Apartments are mainly two- and three-bedroom homes designed for families. Upper floors on the lake side get partial views of West Lake; lower floors look over the surrounding residential streets. A rooftop garden with walking paths and seating is shared by residents.
Renting at Oriental Westlake
The building’s low density and Tay Ho location appeal to expatriate tenants, and some owners bought specifically to rent to foreigners. Ask about the management fee, car parking in the basement and whether the unit is furnished to Western standards.

Buying and resale checks
Ownership certificates have been issued for units whose buyers completed payment, so ask to see the pink book of the specific apartment. Check the building’s maintenance fund and any plans for façade or lift upgrades.
