Amenities
Alma Resort Cam Ranh is a 30-hectare beachfront resort on Long Beach (Bai Dai), on the Cam Ranh peninsula in Khanh Hoa. It was developed by Paradise Bay Resort Co., Ltd. (originally Vinh Thien Duong Tourism Co.) and opened in May 2020 with 384 suites in two V-shaped blocks and 196 pool villas. Unlike most resorts in the area, Alma was sold as vacation ownership (timeshare): buyers own the right to use a unit for set periods, not the property itself. Travel + Leisure readers ranked it the top resort in Southeast Asia in its 2024 World’s Best Awards.

Location
Alma sits on the main resort strip of the Cam Ranh peninsula, less than ten minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport and around 35 minutes from central Nha Trang. Several other international resorts share the same beach, but Alma is large enough that most guests stay on site.

What you get
Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea, and villas have a private pool and garden. The resort runs a long list of restaurants, a 6,000 m² water park with a lazy river and wave pool, a cinema, karaoke rooms, a kids’ and youth club, an organic farm, a spa and a mini-mart.

Prices and buying
Alma’s product is a vacation-ownership contract rather than real estate, so buyers do not receive a pink book. Read the contract carefully: how many weeks per year, which unit types, how long the rights last, annual fees, and whether contracts can be transferred.
Renting and holiday use
Most visitors simply book rooms and villas by the night. Timeshare members use their allocated weeks and can often exchange them for other dates.
Pros and cons
- Pros: huge range of on-site facilities, quiet beachfront, close to the airport, strong international reviews
- Cons: timeshare rather than property ownership, isolated from Nha Trang city life, peak-season crowds at the water park
Who it suits
Families and groups on holiday who want everything in one place, and people interested in a vacation-ownership product rather than a property to own.
