What you get

Rooms keep their colonial bones – high ceilings, old lifts and wooden floors – with modernised bathrooms. Le Café de la Poste, across the street, is the hotel’s French restaurant.

Prices and buying

There is nothing to buy here. Villas and townhouses in the central Xuan Huong wards come up for sale occasionally; check heritage rules and the land certificate.

Renting and holiday use

Du Parc is a mid-priced way to stay in a heritage building in the centre; breakfast is often sold separately. There is no pool.

Pros and cons

  • Pros: 1932 heritage building, central location near the cathedral, more affordable than the Dalat Palace
  • Cons: dated rooms and creaky floors, no pool, nothing for investors

Who it suits

Travellers who want colonial atmosphere in central Da Lat without the Palace’s prices.
