The Era Town, usually written Eratown and often called Era Town Duc Khai, is a riverside apartment estate developed by Duc Khai JSC at 15B Nguyen Luong Bang Street in District 7, now Tan My Ward. It sits on the bank of the Saigon River just south of Phu My Hung.

The estate is made up of several mid- and high-rise blocks built in stages, with a riverside park along the water. It was launched with a large sales event in 2010 and handed over in phases. Units are notably large for the price: many two-bedroom flats are 70–90 m², and three- and four-bedroom homes go up to about 160 m².

Location

Nguyen Luong Bang is a wide boulevard running from Phu My Hung to the south. From Eratown, the international schools, hospitals and restaurants of Phu My Hung are five minutes away, and District 1 is around 20–25 minutes via Nguyen Huu Tho or the Phu My Bridge. The Saigon River side of the estate is quiet and green.

Renting at Era Town

Era Town is one of the cheaper ways to rent a large apartment in District 7. Furnished two- and three-bedroom units often rent for around 8–11 million VND a month, much less than similar sizes in Phu My Hung. The trade-off is older finishes and simpler facilities, so inspect kitchens, bathrooms and windows carefully.

Buying checks

Some blocks had long delays before pink books were issued. Ask whether the unit has its certificate or only a sales contract.
Check the block and phase; management standards vary between blocks.
Flooding at high tide has affected parts of District 7 in the past; ask residents about the access roads in the rainy season.
